Futurelect Programmes
LEADERSHIP PROGRAMMES
We are building a pipeline of strong, ethical political leaders.

Our non-partisan, interdisciplinary public leadership programmes are designed to increase the participation of African women and youth in government by addressing the unique challenges they face when running for office and helping them build the skills and networks to help them lead with integrity and impact. 

Southern Africa Public Leadership Programme

Seven-month programme which prepare fellows aged 18-45 with the knowledge, skills, and networks to run for elected office and serve as political appointees.

East Africa Public Leadership Programme

Seven-month programme which prepare fellows aged 18-45 with the knowledge, skills, and networks to run for elected office and serve as political appointees.

Women in Public Office, South Africa Programme

Five-month programme which address gender-specific barriers, preparing women aged 18-45 with tailored skills, networks and support to run for office in their country’s upcoming elections.

Futurelect Alumni Programme

Five year support and guidance on leadership, public purpose, ethics, and values, and underpinned by a high-level mentorship and accountability in the community.

A bold youth leadership track designed for young changemakers, community builders, and peer influencers ready to activate civic awareness where it matters most, on the ground. 

Civic Education Programme

Widely accessible online via our learning app, which explores the importance of civic education among youth in understanding how democracy works and how citizens can influence governance.
